Galleon Theatre Company has been a leading producer of high quality theatre in London for over twenty years! Its productions have created work for thousands of theatre practitioners and entertained many, many thousands of people. They have also provided professional and exciting opportunities for artists to learn and develop their craft.

Although Galleon often performs to sell out houses and considerable critical acclaim, it is faced with constant financially hardship. The costs of our productions increase at a regular and crippling pace and the economics of small scale theatre are that expenditure is always greater than income - particularly for a company which receives no funding and a venue with a limited seating capacity like the Greenwich Playhouse.

Galleon Theatre Company receives no revenue funding whatsoever, it is a registered charity and a non profit making organisation. Galleon and the Greenwich Playhouse are the only all year professional producers of theatre for Greenwich and a substantial part of South East London.  

There are many ways which theatre supporters can make an important contribution to the company’s work and its future excellence. The most immediate is to attend all Galleon shows and to tell friends about the theatre and the many wonderful plays that it stages.

Sponsor a theatre chair

For one off sponsorship of £200, patrons can enjoy having their names credited on a gold plaque placed on one of the theatre’s seats.

Or you could join our:

Friends Scheme

This is a yearly scheme which lasts a full twelve months and offers the opportunity to be closely involved with one of London’s most exciting of theatre companies and venues. There are three levels of friendship!

BRONZE – a yearly contribution of £150

• Immediate inclusion in our theatre’s mailing list which will keep you informed of all productions and events taking place at the venue;
• Priority booking for both in-house and visiting productions;
• Acknowledged, if so wished, on our website and theatre literature.

SILVER – a yearly contribution of £250

• Immediate inclusion in our theatre’s mailing list which will keep you informed of all productions and events taking place at the venue;
• Priority booking for both in-house and visiting productions;
• Two complimentary tickets to all in-house Galleon productions. (This excludes visiting productions);
• Acknowledged, if so wished, on our website and theatre literature.

GOLD – a yearly contribution of £500

• Immediate inclusion in our theatre’s mailing list which will keep you informed of all productions and events taking place at the venue;
• Priority booking for both in-house and visiting productions;
• Four complimentary tickets to all in-house Galleon productions. (This excludes visiting productions);
• An autographed programme by the entire cast for all Galleon production’s;
• Acknowledged, if so wished, on our website and literature.
• An invitation to all Galleon special events.

PRODUCTION SPONSORSHIP

This is especially suitable to companies and entrepreneurs as it offers a significant and generous corporate package. For production sponsorship of £3,000 -£10,000, your company will enjoy many of the benefits offered by our ‘Production Sponsorship Package’ and simultaneously contribute to the work of one of London’s most dynamic and acclaimed of independent medium scale producing theatre company’s.

The Production Sponsorship Package offer advertising and entertainment benefits worth many thousands of pounds:

Advertising: As a Production Sponsor, you will have your company’s logo prominently printed on all production advertising materials, such as flyers, posters and programmes. Per production Galleon Theatre Company prints, in full colour and in the best of materials some 50,000 flyers and 5,000 posters. All our flyers are printed on card and boast striking and lovingly created graphic designs. They are also distributed through professional agencies and organisations throughout London and abroad.

Press & Media: As a Production Sponsor you will have the significant contribution made by your company, to the continuance of our work, recognised in our vast press and marketing strategy. It will be acknowledged in all press releases and communications exchanged with many, many thousands of media organisations and journalists in this country and abroad. Galleon productions always attract extensive media coverage on television, radio, the internet, magazines and quality newspapers in Britain and throughout the world.

Corporate Entertainment: As a co-production Sponsor, you will be entitled to 20 complimentary tickets for the production which you have sponsored. These will offer the opportunity for us to publicly thank you and for your organisation and for your company to celebrate its altruistic contribution to the arts and to the preservation of a prcious local community asset.
